The police in Berbice are probing the murder of a Williamsburg, Corentyne Berbice woman which occurred this morning.
Dead is Amanda Gill. She was 20 years old.
This newscast understands that police who were on patrol in the area, observed the body lying on the roadside. There are also reports that the suspect, who has since been arrested, was seen by the police coming out of a car with a cutlass suspected to be the murder weapon.
