Two Police constables based at the Turkeyen Police Station are currently under close arrest as senior police officers commenced a probe into a rape allegation made by a woman from the Sophia Community.
Speaking with this newscast Commander of ‘C’ Division, Calvin Brutus said the woman came to the station on the 1st of January, 2018 to make a report and asked to use the washroom at the Station when the two constables allegedly committed the act.
The Commander said upon receiving the allegation the investigating team took all the necessary steps and got all the statements. Brutus said the report is now in its final stages and will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecution for advice.
