Petona Welcome the driver of the car in the fatal accident at the Liliendaal Railway Embankment, was today placed on $20,000 bail for driving under the influence of alcohol, but she is not out of the woods just yet, as the police plan to bring additional charges against her.

On Saturday, Welcome and a group of friends were heading to the city when she lost control of the car which they were in and slammed into a bridge. Debra Pompey of Belle West Housing Scheme, Canal Number 2, Polder was killed in that accident, while Rodlyn Grace, Shemeica Martin, Tenisha Hubbert and Saskiya Boyer were injured.
Residents in the area said the scene was very chaotic.
At the scene today, blood stains were still visible, the back seat of the car was left on the scene and a pair of shoes.
The injured were rushed to the Georgetown Hospital by public spirited citizens.
