A forty-six-year-old security Guyana is in police custody in connection with the death of a fifty-three-year-old woman, identified as Marlyn Singh. The woman’s body was discovered last week Thursday.
The Police in a press statement today said a post mortem examination conducted on the body of the woman listed her cause of death as asphyxiation due to manual strangulation, compounded by blunt trauma to the head.
The body of the woman who was said to be unemployed at the time of her demise was found by her brother Rohit Singh. The corpse was found naked on a bed that belonged to the deceased. The man who shared the South Cummings Lodge with his sister made a report to the Turkeyne Police Station, when police arrived at the scene no visible marks of violence were found on the body.
