Statement by the police on the shooting.
The police in a report on the incident said their Investigation revealed that the suspect, a student of Sandy Babb Street Kitty, who was home alone at the time, invited the victim (his friend) over to his residence and just as they finished having a meal, the suspect breached the lock of a secured wardrobe where a licensed .32 Taurus Pistol owned by his father was being kept.
The police said after retrieving the same, the suspect then showed it to the victim and accidently pulled the trigger, shooting Sawh to the head in the process.
A 32. Taurus Pistol with 7 live matching rounds, a spent shell and 149 .32 rounds were retrieved from the scene.
The suspect is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
