Prayers indeed changes things. Today, the Chaplain of the Guyana Police Force was greeted with an unexpected change and this comes days after he offered a prayer at the opening of the annual Police Officers’ conference.
Now the Guyana Police Force is reporting that it has revoked the appointment of Reverend Patrick Doolichand as the Force’s Chaplain effective, today March 10, 2021. He has been replaced by Reverend Eric Bassant, a former Assistant Commissioner of Police. Bassant will perform the duties of force Chaplain and Coordinator of the Cops and Faith Community Network. His appointment was effective yesterday. The force has offered no explanation for the revocation.
