Government Minister Simona Broomes today called out opposition members of Parliament for making a mockery of rape in the National Assembly.
Opposition members of Parliament began shouting for rape after ranks of the Guyana Police Force were called in to escort People’s Progressive Party Member of Parliament and Shadow Finance Minister, Juan Edghill for the Parliament Chamber. PPP members formed a barricade around the Edghill as both male and female Members of Parliament shouted rape.
