Pickering was reportedly stabbed 14 times about her body when the suspect attacked her inside her home. The woman managed to escape from the house and collapsed in her neighbour’s yard where she succumbed.
The entire ordeal was witnessed by her three-year-old grandson. The motive for the killing is unknown but according to the woman’s daughter Tiffany Roberts, the suspect was abusive to her sister and she was forced to intervene on several occasions.
She said her sister moved from the abusive relationship and was staying at her mom for some time but she decided to go back with the man. She said her mother and the suspect had no problems.
