A 29-year-old man of no fixed place of abode, was today remanded to prison for the murder of Springlands pensioner, Fitzherbert Grimes.
The man, Lincoln Odell appeared before Magistrate Robindranauth Singh at the Springlands Magistrates’ Court where he was not required to plea to the indictable offence.
The police prosecutor told the court that on June 2, 2017, Odell murdered the pensioner during the course of a robbery.
However, the prosecutor requested that the accused undergo a psychiatric evaluation. Odell told the court that after being put out of his family home he began using drugs and alcohol. The man is expected to make another court appearance on June 19.
