Wing’s Aviation aircraft crashed this morning at Eteringbang, no fatalities or serious injuries reported so far. There are reports that a small Cessna aircraft went down during take off from the Eteringbang Airport.
Now this comes on the heels of the fatal plane crash in the same Eteringbang area where Roraima Airways’ Chief Pilot Collin Winston Martin, met a tragic demise a few days ago. The crash was confirmed by Carl Bowen, Manager of Wings Aviation.
Wings Aviation Inc, is also the parent company of the popular Fly Jamaica Airlines and Carl Bowen said that the pilot is being flown back to the city and will update them on what transpired. He promised that the company will put out a full statement later on today.

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crash of a single engine CESSNA aircraft – bearing registration number 8R-GPR, shortly after takeoff at the Eteringbang airstrip in Region 7 (Cuyuni/Mazaruni).
The accident occurred at approximately 11:00hrs today August 8, 2017. Preliminary reports indicate that the plane was on a shuttling mission from Eteringbang to Ekereku when the incident occurred. The Pilot suffered minor injuries. Officials from the Accident and Investigation Group supported by a team from GCAA is en route to the crash site to start their investigations.
