Four charged with brutal murder of Rose Hall Town businessman

By Farah Bates – Emotions were high as family members of Rose Hall Town businessman, Lomenzo Johnny aka “Sham” gathered outside the courtroom as the murder accused made their appearance.
The four men who were jointly charged appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at the number 51 Magistrates’ Court where the charges were read to them.
The men Satram Kushlay, Bilaal McClennon, Navindra Narine and Gopaul Ramgobin were not required to plea to the indictable charge.

The court heard that on February 27th, 2020 they murdered Lomenzo Johnny at Rose Hall Town, not far from his home.

Meanwhile, Gopaul Ramgobin and Navindra Narine knowing that Kushlay and McClennon had committed the act, did receive, comfort, harbored and assisted the two men.

The battered body of the businessman was discovered at a construction site between a clump of bushes by workers who had just turned up to begin their day’s work.

Johnny would usually exercise in the evening in the street where he lived and it is alleged that the men pounced on him while he was exercising.

Prosecutor Orin Joseph said that the file is 95% complete and so the matter was adjourned and transferred to the Albion Magistrates’ court until April 17th.

Meanwhile, the police have issued a wanted bulletin for Daniel Mc Clennon for questioning in relation to the the slain businessman. He remains on the run.
