His lawyer Darren Wade even secured an injunction from the acting Chief Justice Brassington Reynolds which was not accepted by the police. The lawmen broke into Jones’ house and removed several boxes believed to be barber chairs he had in his possession.

The ongoing operation lasted for hours and the street where Jones lived had no electricity, all the other streets around the area had GPL power supply.

Jones told this newscast that he applied for a grant from the Ministry of Social Services  for a SLED programme and was awarded $4.9 million dollars to equip a Barbershop and employ twenty persons.
The project was however stalled. He maintained that he has done nothing illegal and he is the rightful owner of the barber chairs.
The situation angered residents and his party’s comrades also came out to lend support to Jones. PNC executive member Aubrey Norton did not hold back his feelings, as he put the PPP government on notice.
AFC executive member David Patterson also expressed his disgust with the polices’ actions.
