A release from the Customs Anti-narcotics Unit said the drugs were busted during two raids in Berbice this morning July 2nd, 2019.
Canu said 28 yrold. KHUSHYAL GRANT an ex-Police Detective of No. 2 Village East Canjie Berbice was arrested after their search uncovered 94.347 kilograms of suspected Cannabis.
And in another search in Nickalay Street, New Amsterdam, Berbice CANU also busted 140 grams of suspected cannabis at the said location.
34-year-old KERRY CHARLES GRIMMOND was arrested and is in custody.
CANU said both men are in custody assisting with the investigations.
