Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire today dismissed one of the two election petitions filed by the APNU-AFC and the coalition said they disagree with the CJ’s ruling and will appeal.
Senior Counsel Roysdale Forde in a late afternoon press briefing following the ruling said petition 99 was thrown out on the basis that former president David Granger was not served in time.
According to Forde, the Chief Justice’s decision is not reflective of jurisprudence’s importance. The 2nd petition will be heard on February 12th.
