Dead are Cornelius and Bernice Rozema of Hauraruni Soesdyke Linden Highway. That accident occurred just around 20:00hrs at Hauraruni and involved a motor car and truck. There are reports that the husband and wife were heading home at the time of the accident.
Cornelius was driving and he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and ended up in the path of a truck that was traveling in the opposite lane. They both died on the spot.
75-year-old Cornelius and 79-year-old Bernice were here in Guyana for some time doing missionary work.
The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
