The deaths of two pensioners have now pushed Guyana’s death toll from COVID-19 to 130. The two fatalities have been identified as a 92 year old man from the Barima-Waini Region (Region1) and a 77 year old woman from the Pomeroon-Supenaam Region (Region 2). Both persons died while they were receiving care at state run facilities.
These two fatalities bring the death count for November to 4, as two deaths were recorded yesterday by the Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has recorded 7 new COVID-19 cases. The surveillance period being yesterday, November 2. Further, 9 persons remain in the COVID-19 ICU.
To date, Guyana has recorded a total of 4,245 cases. 3,320 recoveries have been recorded according to the World Health Organisation’s Standard. Currently, Guyana has a 785 active COVID-19 cases.
