Police Public Relations Officer, Royston Andries- Junior informed members of the media about the arrest of the juvenile for the murder of the 85-year-old businesswoman.
Bibi Ramjit, of Lot 63, La Grange Old Road, West Bank Demerara was found dead in her home on Sunday.
The pensioner was found in her bedroom lying motionless on her bed with her feet and hands tied and her mouth taped up.
The police said the juvenile is in custody assisting with the investigation.
