The marijuana was found between some tombs in the Cemetery at Kingelly Seadam, West Coast Berbice this morning.
That operation was headed by Commander Regional Division #5 Senior Superintendent Edmond Cooper.
The marijuana was found in two large transparent bulky plastic parcels which when weighed had a total of 29,030 grams, or 64 pounds.

In addition to that, the lawmen also found three motorcycles bearing registration numbers CK 4203, CK 1363, and CH 7170 along with a green haversack containing one Samsung Cellular phone.
A suspect who was spotted on the scene managed to escape from the police and he is currently being sought. The items were lodged at the Weldaad Police Station. The police investigations are ongoing.
