189 persons have recovered so far from the Coronavirus with 4 persons in the COVID-ICU. There are 357 active cases in Institutional Isolation and 38 persons in institutional quarantine. The total confirmed positive cases are now 568.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Shamdeo Persaud during the daily update said the 64 new positive cases that were reported came from Regions 9, 7, 8, and once more Region 4. He urged Guyanese to come forward and get tested if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been in contact with someone suspected of the disease. Further, persons who have concerns about their status regarding COVID-19 can make contact with our testing sites for an evaluation. Being tested means you know your status and gives you the ability to seek the necessary treatment and further prevent the spread of this detrimental disease Dr. Persaud said.
