The vigorous expression of Mr. Mikhail Rodrigues’ political views, out rightly captured his disrespect and catapulted his mockery of Christianity, its leaders, its men, its women, together with his racist traditional into the mainstream media.
This specific distasteful rant, occurred on the evening of June 15, 2020.
The vulgarity he displayed on facebook live, has set a new low for what counts as civil criticism; he included disgusting descriptions of our most-cherished beliefs, our negro ethnicity and spoke against our right to an equal place in Guynaese society.
We decry Mr. Mikhail Rodrigues for his malicious statements and demand that in addition to a public apology, that he desist from making racially insensitive remarks against Guyanese of African descent and the Christian Faith.
We call on all constitutional bodies, including the ERC, vested with authority, to vigilantly protect our citizens from persecution and racial attacks of this nature, to act swiftly and definitely on all such highly controversial and potentially volatile matters.
