Police are investigating the death 68-year-old Margaret Dawson whose partially naked body was found in the Le Repentir Cemetery this morning. The discovery was reportedly made by passersby.
Dawson, who was employed with the Professional Guard Service was on her way to work. She was expected at her worksite at 6AM this morning.
The mother of ten lived at Timehri, East Bank Demerara with her daughter, but was staying in Albouystown with other children because of work.
It is suspected that the pensioner might have been raped before she was killed by her attacker. The police have confirmed that a suspect is in custody.
