Dead is Vilma Pickering of Vryhied’s Lust East Coast Demerara. There are reports that the woman received seven stabbed wounds about her body. She was attacked at her home by the man who is said to be her son-in-law.
The incident occurred just around 2:30 Monday afternoon.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The suspect was arrested by public-spirited citizens and handed over to the police.
The motive for the grusome crime is so far unknown. Investigations into the matter is ongoing.
