Canu busts go-fast vessel with over 60 pounds of cocaine. Alberttown Businessman wanted

Alberttown buisnessman, Ryan Pemberton known as “Sancho” is wanted by CANU following the multi-million dollar drug bust at Parika Backdam, East Bank Essequibo on Saturday (February 22nd, 2020).

Two other suspects, Muneshwar Dusrajh ‘aka’ Bonny and Latchman Sankar ‘aka’ Jack are currently in custody as the probe continues.

According to a release from Custom Anti-Narcotics Unit, a darkly painted go-fast fibre-glass vessel was Saturday afternoon intercepted with several parcels (bricks) of suspected cocaine lodged in its bow.

The weight of the 25 parcels totalled 27.866 kilograms of suspected Cocaine.

 

 CANU said they received threats from a known suspect: RYAN PEMBERTON also known as “SANCHO” of Alberttown Georgetown and is currently seeking to have him arrested in relation to the bust. Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to make contact with the Unit on 226-0431.

This newscast also understands that Sancho threatened to shoot up CANU headquarters and he also issued death threats to several ranks of the unit.

CANU also seized a number of spare parts. According to the Deputy Head of CANU Leslie Ramlall, the operation was done over a two- week period.
