The police have vehemently denied reports in sections of the media that a division commander was threatened with dismissal by a government minister.
The report surfaced after the son of Minister within the Natural Resources Ministry, Simona Broomes was charged with assault.
Hector Broomes and his former girlfriend, Gilibeth Rodriguez were charged and expected to appear in court. Broomes was charged with assault, causing actual bodily harm while Rodriguez was charged with two counts one for assault and the other for throwing missiles.
