The 37-year-old, Subbaschand Harrichan appeared before Principle Magistrate Judy Latchman today in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plea to the indictable charge. It is alleged that the Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast man between December 1st and December 31st, 2016, in Georgetown, he engaged in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 16. The man was granted $150,000 bail after Police Prosecutor Shawn Gonsalves made no objection. The matter is adjourned until July 5th.
