Economics teacher Coen Jackson was today committed to stand trial in the High Court for the sexual assault of a child under the age of 16 while being in a position of trust.
Jackson appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where it was found that there was sufficient evidence to have the former Bishop’s High School teacher committed to the High Court.
Jackson, however, will continue to enjoy his pretrial liberty. The teacher was placed on $300,000 high court bail. The former high school teacher is accused of abusing a child at his Durban Street, Lodge home between December 2000 and May 2011.
