A 60-year-old labourer is now in custody as the Police probe a drug bust which occurred at Haslington, on the East Bank of Demerara.
According to the Police report, an intelligence-led operation by ranks of the Guyana Police Force’s Narcotics Branch this morning, has resulted in the arrest of a 60-year-old labourer with five taped parcels of compressed cannabis.
The Police say the illegal substance which weighed in excess of twenty-seven (27) kilograms, was found hidden in a freezer of the sexagenarian’s Haslington, ECD, home. The suspect is being processed for Court tomorrow.
