The Guyana Police Force is mourning the loss of one of its members who was killed in an early morning accident at Loo Creek, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
Dead is Teon Hope, a Corporal in the Guyana Police Force.
There are reports that Hope was a passenger in the vehicle which reportedly collided with an 18 wheeler truck. The driver of the vehicle who was also killed in the accident is still to be identified.
The car was badly damaged and the men had to be pulled from the wreckage. Hope was an active member of the Police Scouts and it’s unclear if Hope was heading to a Scout event being held in the mining town of Linden today.
Information surrounding the accident is a bit sketchy at this time. The Guyana Police Force Traffic department are investigating the accident.
