The victim was identified as 29 yr. old Daniel Nandlall, of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara. Nandlall was shot while he was in front of his yard, by bandits who pounced on him. He died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
His cousin, Alisha Douglas said while they were sitting in the yard, she heard Daniel speaking to someone on the road, then gunshots went off.
Douglas said her cousin was first taken to the Woodlands Hospital, but they were told that they had to pay first, before the surgery could be done.
A Police investigation is ongoing.
