A Corentyne, Berbice, woman is now dead following an accident this morning at Number 58 Village. The dead woman has been identified as Soorajnie Surjah, 52, of Crabwood Creek, Corentyne Berbice. The woman was a passenger in her family’s car, which slammed into the back of a parked truck.
Commander of B, Division Linden Alves, said initial reports indicated that the family were returning home after dropping off a relative at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport when the accident occurred.
The driver of the vehicle was rushed to the hospital after crying out for chest pains. A Police investigation is ongoing.
