Four persons are now homeless following a fire at #45 Village, Corentyne Berbice.
Ganesh Boodhoo owns the house and lived there with his family of four. He said at the time of the fire he was at his mother’s house at number 59 village, when he got a call informing him that his house was on fire. He estimated his losses to be in the millions.
There are reports that the Guyana Fire Service was slow in their response to the scene, despite repeated calls from residents. This angered residents, many of whom visibly vented their disgust.
