Kuru Kuru man charged with 5 counts of car theft

Jason Harry, 26, of 856-monument hill, Kuru Kuru, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman and was slapped with five counts of car theft. He was said to be one of the key players in the recently busted car-jacking ring where the Police seized a number of stolen vehicles and parts during several operations in the Kuru Kuru, Linden/Soesdyke area.

The court was told that the alleged theft was done between December 8th, 2017 and February 10th, 2018. It involved 2 Toyota Spacios, 2 Allions and a wagon. The first charge read to Harry was for the wagon. Harry is accused of falsely receiving a Toyota Fielder Wagon, HC 6999, valued at $2 million dollars property of Elisabeth Marteen, then between December 15, 2017 and February 10, 2018 he falsely received a Toyota Spacio PVV 9742 valued at $2.5 million dollars property of Dellon Skilkey, the third charge read to the accused stated that between August 17, 2017 and February 9,2018 he falsely received a Toyota Allion valued at  $1.7 million dollars property of Shivrath Narine.

Also between August 17, 2017 and February 10 he falsely received a Toyota Spacio PMM 7517 valued at $2.5 million dollars property of Samuel Monroe.
And between December 12, 2017 and February 10, 2018 he falsely received a Toyota Allion PVV 6791 valued at $2.3 million dollars property of Trechell Power. Harry was granted $1.2 million dollars bail and will return to court on April 12th.
