Fisherman shot and robbed of 7 million dollars

Fisherman, Eddie Brandon was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital this afternoon to receive treatment for a gunshot wound he sustained during a robbery.
 He told reporters that he was shot and robbed of $7 million dollars.
According to the Police report, the armed robbery was committed on the 50-year-old fisherman, of Cove & John, ECD, around 1150hrs, a short distance from his residence. The police said the alleged robbery was committed by two males, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The victim was shot to his left leg and gun-butted to the head after he refused to hand over the bag with the money.
According to the police, their investigations have revealed that the victim who was in the company of his daughter, went to a Commercial Bank on the East Coast of Demerara and made a withdrawal after which they proceeded to their home via public transportation and exited on the Cove & John Public Road.  It was while they were walking through an Access Road, leading to their home, when the suspects exited a motor car and relieved the victim of his property and escaped in the said vehicle.
Investigators have since retrieved several spent shells of a small caliber weapon from the scene.
