A 25-year-old mother of one was killed in an accident involving a mini-bus and a car this morning at Parfait Harmony access road on the West Bank of Demerara.
The dead woman has been identified as Alana Ramsarran. Commander of D Division Leslie James confirmed that the woman was killed in the accident. According to the commander, several passengers were rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital with lacerations and broken limbs.
There are reports that a passenger was pinned in the front seat of the mini-bus and was said to be seriously injured. Ramsarran was said to be the driver of the car, it’s unclear how the collision occurred at this point. The Police are investigating the story.
