A man who was wanted for the brazen mid-morning shooting in Leopold Street was this afternoon arrested along with several other young men from the community.
This was after the Police conducted a massive exercise in the community. Commander of A Division Marlon Chapman confirmed that the suspect known as “Barney” was arrested.
According to the commander, the police were also looking for guns, drugs and other illegal items. Several houses were searched in various streets of the community. The exercise comes days after gunshots rang out in the community leaving a woman seriously injured and several persons seeking cover from the barrage of gunshots. Barney was fingered in that shooting incident.
