The second suspect who was on the run following the murder of overseas-based Guyanese Purcell Moore Jr. was this afternoon arraigned in court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan. Selwin Dawson, 21 called “Pop Skull” of first Field, Kaneville, EBD was not required to plea to the charge.
It was back in December last year at Old Road Craig Dawson and Kelvin Persaud shot and robbed Moore of his gold chain. The incident occurred a short distance away from his parents home. The father of two succumbed to his injuries at the Diamond Hospital.
The Police quickly cracked the case and arrested 21-year-old Kelvin Persaud of fourteen Avenue Diamond while Dawson went into hiding. Dawson was remanded to prison until January 22nd
