Operations are still ongoing in Linden to capture convicted Bartica massacre death row inmate and prison escapee Royden Williams or Royden Durant called Smallie.
Williams was said to be in the company of Urie Varswyck who was shot dead during an exchange of gunshots with the Police last night in Linden.
Williams reportedly escaped on foot from the scene. It is unclear if he was injured but the joint service has intensified their efforts to capture him.
Varswyck and Williams were among two high profile criminals who escaped from the Camp Street Jail, killing prison warden Odinga Wickham in the process while injuring several other officers.
The men reportedly set fire to several locations in the prison as a distraction. The jailhouse was later gutted.
Earlier last month a $10 million reward was offered for information that can lead to the arrest of the four escapees at large, three from the deadly Camp Street jail and fire and one from the Lusignan jail break.
Currently, Royden Williams or Royden Durant called ”Smallie”, Cobena Stephens known as “OJ and Paul Goriah are still on the run.
