Regan “Grey Boy” Rodrigues vented his dissatisfaction after he was charged with Threatening language, an offence he allegedly committed against Donna Harcourt, the mother of murdered political activist Courtney Crum-Ewing.

When the matter was called this morning before City Magistrate, Dylon Bess, Grey Boy was placed on $10,000 bail for the offence after he pleaded not guilty. The incident allegedly occurred at Wellington Street where the woman ply’s her trade.  He will make his next court appearance on September 18th.

“Grey Boy” was earlier charged with Courtney Crum-Ewing’s murder last year, after a gun the police say was used in the execution, was found in his home in Riverview in Ruimveldt. Rodrigues was set free on that charge, despite a fallout between the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Shalimar Ali-Hack and Magistrate Judy Latchman. The DPP instructed the magistrate to send the matter to the high court, saying there was sufficient evidence. However, the Magistrate maintained that there is no evidence against Rodrigues for him to stand trial in the High Court for the murder of political activist, Courtney Crum-Ewing.

Crum-Ewing was executed at Diamond, East Bank Demerara, on March 10th, 2015 while encouraging residents to vote against the then ruling Peoples’ Progressive Party (PPP/C).
