The mother of the murdered Berbice teenaged girl who was brutally murdered by her common -law husband has finally broken her silence.
Indrawattie Narine is sharing her side of the story after she was ridiculed for allowing her 16-year-old daughter to ‘live home’ with a 25-year-old man.
She explained that her daughter took off with the accused earlier in the year but later reached out to her and asked to return home with the man. The woman said she agreed because Parbatie Lakpaul is her only daughter and she was afraid the teen would try to harm herself.
Murder accused: Ryan Singh
The former student of the Berbice Educational Insitute High (BEI) was brutally murdered Saturday last by Ryan Singh. The man was reportedly unemployed and has been abusing the teen from the beginning of their relationship.
The couple was living together in the lower flat of the victim’s mother’s house.
Two days ago, Parbatie decided she had enough and ended the abusive relationship. She asked her abuser to leave the home.
He did but returned today while she was picking her nieces up and hid in the house. As she entered the house, the man ambushed her and slit her throat.
Aszeema Alli was Singh’s ex-lover who was brutally stabbed
He has gone into hiding and police have issued a wanted bulletin for Singh.
Now the accused has a violent past and attempted to kill his ex-lover. Aszeema Alli had a relationship with Singh but it quickly took a turn for the worse when the man stabbed her multiple times on Valentine’s Day, in 2015.
The woman has now gone into hiding after the news broke about what Singh did to the teen. Shortly before he murdered his current lover, he even reached out to Alli and professed his love for her.
