Kendall Skeete who escaped from the Lusignan prison, East Coast Demerara Sunday last was recaptured at 11:15h today (July, 26) in Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden.
Skeete is the 8th prisoner who has been recaptured by joint service ranks this week after a 13 men gang broke out of their temporary holding facility.
Five prisoners remain on the run from the 13 men gang who escaped after digging a hole and tunneling their way out of the East Coast Demerara jail house. Prisoners were sent there following the Camp Street jail break and fire earlier in the month.
Earlier in the week police apprehended seven prisoners in different parts of region 4. They are Teshawn Mckenzie, Winston Long, Odel Roberts, Jamal Forde, Jamal Joseph, Rayon Jones and Jason Howard.
During the Camp Street jail break, several notorious prisoners escaped, while some were caught, four are still on the run. They are Stafrei Alexander, Cobena Stephens, Uree Varswyck also called Malcolm Gordon and Mark Durant called Royden Williams and ‘Smallie’.
