Police are investigating attempted robbery at Republic Bank, Water Street location. Reports are that the bandits attempted to storm the ATM when they were confronted by armed security personnel of the Professional Guard Service.
During an exchange of gunfire, some of the bandits managed to escape but two suspected to be involved were captured and are in police custody.The incident left customers and staff of the bank traumatized. Also, PGS officers and the police came in for high praises.
