The man was identified as Gerald Henry of ‘C’ Field, South Turkeyen, Sophia and attached to Sentinel security service. He was at the time on duty at the Good Luck Supermarket on Dennis Street Sophia, when bandits pounced on the business and carried out a daring robbery. The men then turned on the Henry, shot him in his chest and took away his firearm.
He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he died on arrival.
Commander of ‘C’ division Calvin Brutus said that the police are looking at the surveillance camera to ascertain identities of the men. He told reporters that from what was viewed thus far the bandits were unmasked.
Friday’s night shooting came on the heels of the murder of another resident, Trevor Dublin of ‘C’ Field last Saturday and bread vendor Andre Alexander, who also was killed during a robbery almost two months ago.
