60 years Behind Bars for Steve Allicock for the murder of Albouystown youth

The 12 man jury returned the unanimous guilty verdict in just over two hours of deliberation in the matter in the High Court this afternoon.
Allicock was on trial for the 2009 murder of Wendell Tappin, who was stabbed to death in Albouystown during a row over a cell-phone battery.

Steve was on the run for over five years while his father, Leonard was before the court for the same offence.He was later acquitted by a jury.

Silvie Kishore said she was thankful that justice was served in the matter for her son after 9 years.

The woman spoke of the painful memories that her son left behind.

Outside of the courtroom, Leonard Allicock, father of the accused took offence to the jury’s verdict. He is of the opinion that the prosecution’s case was full of discrepancies.

Allicock said his family will appeal the decision.
