Police are in search of a 17-year-old school drop who allegedly killed a sixteen-year-old student of the Covent Garden Secondary School, Brian Charles Yearwood. The victim was a resident of Grove, East Bank Demerara.
The police are reporting that at approximately 20:00 hrs on Saturday night in the compound of the Covent Garden Nursery School, the accused stabbed the deceased once to the region of his chest.
Both the victim and the deceased were said to be patrons at a concert held in the school’s compound. The accused who hails from Kaneville, East Bank of Demerara fled the scene soon after the incident. The deceased was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
