The Police have made a breakthrough in the murder of Dr. Colin Roach, this is after the suspect was identified by the doctors employees who were detained by the police for questioning on Tuesday. The surveillance footage from the doctor’s Duke Street Office aided the Police’s investigations into the matter. In addition to that the police have also recovered the abandoned vehicle at Schoonard on the West Bank of Demerara.  Dr. Roach was discovered lying motionless on his back in a pool of blood at his Duke Street, Kingston office on Tuesday night. The Police are reporting that their initial investigations revealed that the 49 year old doctor had what appeared to be a lash on the left side of his forehead. The suspect or suspects also made off with the doctor’s motor car bearing license plate number PXX 4000 and his two cellular phones. It was further observed that the lights in the doctor’s office were still on which prompted one of the males to call the doctor on his cellular phone but he got no answer.

The other male was alerted and using his office keys he went to turn off the said lights when he discovered the doctor lying motionless. The doctor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roach was one of two physicians responsible for US immigrant visa medical examinations. Added to that, he also served as a clinical advisor for the US CDC in Guyana.
