Water restoration in the city will now be on at 10hrs today according to the Guyana Water Incorporated.
The company in a press statement last night said water should have been back at 3hrs today but due to major difficulties experience at the worksite necessitated the extension.
The water company said the disruption was a result of planned works which commenced on July to facilitate what a termed a major interconnection at the junction of the Vlissengen Road and the Lamaha Embankment.
However, water will be supplied to key institutions such as Hospitals. Further the company has urged that institutions in need of water supply should contact its Regional Manager, Curtis Niles on cell number 620-4813.
