The Joint Services and the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit are probing the discovery of an illegal aircraft at Bisaruni Area, Kwakwani. That discovery was made today according to CANU. CANU said based on information received, a joint CANU and JST team was deployed to the Bisaruni Area, Kwakwani where a burnt-out aircraft was discovered on the trail. The aircraft is suspected to be involved in illicit activities CANU said and no illicit cargo was discovered.
An investigation has been launched to locate the pilot and determine the circumstances of this discovery. The drug enforcement agency said recently, there have been several seizures of cocaine between Guyana and Suriname as a result of closer collaboration and cooperation.
