The fifteen year old sister of Shonette Dover was today remanded to the Juvenile Holding Centre after a charge of accessory to murder was read to her.

The child appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune in the Linden Magistrates’ Court. She will make her next court appearance on May 28th.

The Child reportedly led police to a site in the back yard of Shaquawn Alleyne’s house, where she said Shonette was buried. The police after digging some four feet came upon the remains.

The police in a release said the child in the presence of a child care and protection officer, related to them that Shaquawn Alleyne, Shonnette’s live in boyfriend shot her and together with his father buried her body in the backyard.

Shawn Alleyne, S Shaquawn’s father remains in custody as the police is still awaiting advice from the Director of Public Prosecution.

Yesterday, a post mortem examination of the remains, indicated that Shonette died as a result of a single gunshot injury to the head.

Sometime before Shonette’s remains were discovered, Shaquawn Alleyne fled. A wanted bulletin has since been issued for him.
