A Police rank is under close arrest for assaulting a civilian. That incident took place in Bartica on Thursday. According to the Police, pursuant to a court order for Georgeno Tevrieden to publicly apologise for assaulting two police officers on April 24th, he began his apology exercise promptly at 09:00 hrs.
However, shortly after he commenced the same, he was approached by Constable Harmon and dealt several cuffs. He was taken to the Bartica Public Hospital to receive medical attention while the constable has been placed under close arrest. An investigation has been launched.
