Six persons are in police custody following the discovery of 7.2 pounds of cocaine at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit in a press statement today said the agency unearthed 280 pieces of plastic wrapped pencil shaped parcels of suspected cocaine hidden in the bones of salted fished which were intended for exports to Miami, United States.
The drugs according to the agency had a weight of 3.304 kg or 7.2 pounds.
